Privacy
You can read this site without an account, a form, or tracking scripts.
If you need help right now
If someone is pressuring you, start with hang up first. If you already sent money, shared a code, or gave access to something, go to what to do now.
What we do not have
- No cookies.
- No client-side analytics or visitor tracking.
- No real-user-monitoring (RUM) scripts.
- No tracking pixels.
- No third-party scripts.
- No forms.
- No accounts, logins, or personal data saved by us.
- No ads.
If you use the dark/light mode button, your browser may save that choice locally as a
setting called theme. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
Aggregate hosting and search reports
Cloudflare hosts this site and handles requests for its pages and files. We review total request counts and errors from the hosting service. We also review aggregate search reports from Google and Bing to see which pages appear in search.
These totals help us check the site and its guidance. They are not a count of people: bots and repeat requests may be included. We do not use them to build visitor profiles. No tracking script is added to your browser for these reports.
If you email a correction
The only contact point on this site is the corrections email, corrections@hangupfirst.com. It is a normal email address read by a person, used only to fix factual errors, broken links, outdated sources, or overly broad wording. An email includes the sender's address and whatever they write. Please do not send account numbers, codes, or personal scam details. It is not for personal scam help. See the corrections page for details.
Why it works this way
This site is meant to be used in a stressful moment. Adding trackers, accounts, or forms would not help anyone hang up faster, and could create exactly the kind of data trail this site is trying to help people avoid.
